On November 8th 2017, CASMaT held the second annual symposium on Multi-Scale Experimental Mechanics. The symposium will be held every year and focus on relevant research and technology in the field of experimental mechanics.
The symposium consisted of keynote presentations, scientific and technical presentations and a visit to the testing facilities at DTU Lyngby.

Scope of ISMEM 2017
ISMEM 2017 focuses on fatigue and the objectives are to present and discuss state-of-the-art, fatigue laws, experimental techniques, and modelling approaches for solving multiscale fatigue problems in engineering materials.
The conference goal is to make a step forward in the formulation and solution of fatigue problems within a multiscale environment, accounting for all the complex interactions involved in the physical description of the problem.
